Lace

Lace has always fascinated me. I grew up with lace surrounding me because my grandmother and mother both loved and appreciated the construction and the challenge of the designs. This link takes you to an exhibit about lace - with the intreputions of lace designs by several artists. Please go to the site and then go to the video section and watch the video where the artist talk about their creation and you can see the instillation of their work. It is inspiring.…See More

Yaquina Fiber ARts Guild Annual Spin-In

This years Spin-In was wonderful, except for the fact that I fell early Saturday morning and jammed my foot into the door jam. We had 134 people sign in and vendors with a wide variety of wonderful fiber and related items. At one point we ran out of chair. Already thinking about next years event. If you came to the Spin-In I would love to her your comments. We want to make this the best Oregon Coast fiber event. Thanks to all that help and those that donated items to the Guild sale and to the…See More

Ashley Martineau replied to Stephanie "Rosie" Fischer's discussion 'Creativity in a Recession'
Making sure my prices are affordable. Since everything I make is a "luxury" item (not necessary to survive) I focus on keeping it affordable so that people can purchase and enjoy without regret. I also look for getting my supplies on sale…

Art Shows on the Central Coast

Does anyone have any information about shows on the Central Coast, specifically around Pacific City.
There used to be one at the Senior Center and another at the grade school in Cloverdale, but because I am only in PC part time, I don't have any contacts.
Thanks,
Connie

I'm new here and just wanted to say hi. I am a fiber artist and work primarily with exotics and extra soft fibers. My passion is handspinning.

Art Shows in the Willamette Valley

Hello to everyone lucky enough to have sand in their toes! (and in their paints!)

I am a former beachbum, having spent a lot of time on my folks property out of Hebo...now I reside near Oregon City. However, I love visiting the coast especially in the winter.

There are some nice shows to take in if you're in the Oregon City area--I'll post those under events, to make it more official.

This sounds like such fun, hopefully I'll catch on and be able to share and… Continue
